Here’s what a few of my clients had to say-

“Transformative. That’s how I would describe my experience working with Angee. I began physical therapy with her in 2012 after hip surgery. Four months into my hip rehab I developed chronic neck pain. I was in my early 30s and couldn’t understand why my body was hurting so much. I was frustrated that the pain limited my physical activity so much as well as my overall quality of life. Most of all, I was affected by what the pain meant for my job. I’m a university professor and my job requires a lot of research and writing, which means I sit a lot. I was already stressed by the demands of my work but the addition of chronic pain made me depressed, anxious, and fearful. I didn’t understand my pain and kept asking “why is this happening to ME? I’m YOUNG! I’ve always been active! I’m just trying to be a successful professor! Other people don’t have these problems!”

When I think back to the person I was when those thoughts went through my mind, I am amazed by the transformation that has taken place. I now understand what causes my pain, how different movements and postures affect my joints, discs, and muscles. I have learned that I am responsible for my own pain and my own healing. Learning that lesson has been empowering beyond measure. I understand how the choices I make each day affect my body’s well-being. I’ve learned that my body is not merely a vessel to carry my mind. Although it might sound cliche, to truly grasp the ways our minds and bodies are interconnected and to approach your healing process holistically can change your life. With Angee’s support and guidance I have learned all of this and know I have changed in ways that will benefit me for the rest of my life. I am aware of my body and how it works, how to help it and also how to respect it. It’s an on-going journey but I can honestly say it’s been the most transformative experience of my life. And I could never have done this without Angee. Her knowledge, kindness, creativity, and skills are phenomenal.”

By the time I met Angee, my body had been broken for almost 18 months. I had been in excruciating pain, both nerve and joint, and had a fusion of C4-C6. The fusion was supposedly going to fix my problems, but besides fixing my weak neck, it created new problems. I had seen 2 physical therapists, 3 Orthopedists, and 3 pain management doctors without any progress. In fact, I was in more pain.

Angee helped me get my life back. She listened carefully to what I had to say and came up with a new plan: baby steps so as not to cause me unnecessary pain. She was the first person who was willing to think “outside the box” and not rely on a fixed rehab plan. She researched my problems and looked at everything from a different perspective. Manual manipulation was tremendously helpful. She treated the whole patient. I saw Angee over the course of a couple of years – on and off. I will never be pain free, but I have a life and have learned how to cope with my pain with exercise and my foam roll. If not for Angee, I am not sure where I would be today.

Angee Croxford has been treating me for 8 years for severe scoliosis and advanced arthritis in my neck, spine and hips. Her expert physical therapy has enabled me to go from severe pain and some immobility to a level of mobility with little pain that two orthopedic surgeons were amazed at. One said, ‘You are one of the most highly functioning patient I have ever seen. My other patients with the same diagnosis have locked joints.’ The other one said,’Your scoliosis is very severe and at 65 you should be walking bent over.’ He asked me to bend over and when I touched my hands to the floor he was shocked.
